Your microphone and voice recordings

PlayTongueTwister uses your browser's built-in speech recognition to score your voice in real time; that part is processed entirely in your browser and never leaves your device.

Separately, we ask permission to save a recording of your gameplay attempt to Amazon S3, to help us evaluate and improve speech scoring accuracy. This is off by default and only happens if you tap "Allow" on the prompt shown before your first round. Recordings aren't tied to a name or account, but they are stored under a random device identifier and tagged with your browser's user agent and the twister/score for that round — we don't consider that personally identifying, but it isn't fully anonymous either. Recordings are automatically deleted after 90 days.

You can change your choice at any time: you'll be asked the next time you play.

What we collect

We use two analytics tools to understand how the game is used:

• Google Analytics — page views and basic usage stats.
• PostHog — gameplay events (difficulty picked, session completed), session replay, and error reports, so we can find and fix bugs.

None of this includes your name, email, or anything else that identifies you personally, unless you contact us directly.

Cookies & local storage

The analytics tools above use cookies and browser storage to distinguish sessions. We don't use them for advertising or tracking you across other sites.

Accounts & payments

PlayTongueTwister has neither. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to buy.

We don't sell your data

We don't sell or rent any data to third parties.

Changes to this policy

If this changes — for example if we ever add accounts — we'll update this page and the date above.
